Make sure you're not unprepared for this evening's festivities and surprise everyone with your superb recollection of Auld Lang Syne's lyrics:

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
And long, long ago.

Chorus
And for long, long ago, my dear
For long, long ago,
We'll take a cup of kindness yet,
For long, long ago

And surely youll buy your pint-jug!
And surely I'll buy mine!
And we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
For long, long ago.

Chorus

We two have run about the hills
And pulled the daisies fine;
But we've wandered manys the weary foot
Since long, long ago.

Chorus

We two have paddled in the stream,
From morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
Since long, long ago.

Chorus

And there's a hand, my trusty friend!
And give us a hand of yours!
And we'll take a deep draught of good-will
For long, long ago.

Chorus

From Long Beach to Colorado Springs, from Missoula to Muskgeon, our servicemen and women come from across America. Some can't make it home to their families and friends. So, we decided we'd do a show to them and for them with their help. We took their dedications and shout outs and solicited the help of any and all Defense Information School graduates to help us out on Christmas Eve. The support was overwhelming.

It's been a year? One whole year? Holy Moses! Indeed, it's been one truly remarkable learning experience. I'm recalling the lyrics from Steppenwolf's "It's Never Too Late:"
It's never too late to start all over again
To love the people you caused the pain
And help them learn your name
Oh, no, not too late, it's never too late to start all over again
That's really what this year has been about for me. I'm learning how to really live, quietly, peacefully and with purpose. Thank you for being a part of the experience. I genuinely and deeply appreciate it.
