I've received hundreds of emails begging, pleading for classic rock artists on this show. Each time the response is the same. If you want classic rock go ahead and turn on the classic rock radio station and get your fill. The ECU podcast doesn't provide that service. That's not our hustle. Then my friend Grouchy Pete came to me with a proposal. He offered his vision of "This. Not that."

The premise is simple: offer amazing music more indicative of a band's body of work. For example, you COULD play AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long." It's a beast. It's classic. But "If You Want Blood," might just be where it's at. No one plays that song on the radio and outside of a small scene in "Empire Records" it's resigned to the shelves of vinyl fans and is lost in the muck and mire.

Grouchy and I are resolved to help you out. We provide a public service here. So for Grouchy, for fans of the deep cut, for the folks that really know their power chords, we present this episode.
